Sore one about the lost winnings!

Agree with you that it was a great final, and I said similar over on my blog. gutting for Chelsea at the end, but penalties are a total lottery. I knew that le Sulk would miss his.

I also agree RE the victory parade- it was ridiculous that United didn't get one.

i have read some reviews of last wednesday final, and there is some interesting analysis about the tactical battle between man utd and chelsea. at the beginning when the team is announced, chelsea thought united will play 4-3-3 (it's obvious when u saw carrick, scholes and hargo in a team sheet), or something like 4-5-1, to counter the strength of chelsea's midfield. instead, in the first half united were playing the odd 4-4-2, with hargo out wide on the right. and that makes makelele a lil bit vulnereble, because there was no floating united's midfield player (scholes and carrick played deep and able to dictate play). the tactics has worked and united should have been 2-0 or 3-0 up before lampard equalised.
